Vitable Mobile App Review

We Tried The Awesome New Vitable Mobile App

A few months ago I pulled together our review of Vitable, Australia’s first dedicated vitamin subscription service. They offer a free health quiz that spits out personalised recommendations for daily vitamins to explore. You can then subscribe to a monthly delivery that packages the vitamins into simple daily pouches that make it super easy to take them every day.

However, just because the product is well packaged doesn’t mean that it’s easy to build the habit of taking vitamins!

That’s why Vitable have launched a mobile app in May 2021 that helps track your daily routine and rewards you for sticking to a vitamin regiment. There are loads of cool features that I’m going to dive into in this review of the Vitable mobile app.

What can you do?

There are loads of interesting features built into the mobile app, that I was particularly excited to test out. Some of the standout features are:

  • Daily reminders
  • Track your sleep and energy improvements
  • Earn rewards for following your daily routine.
  • Explore different vitamins
  • Manage your Vitable subscription.

I’ll cover each of these through this deep dive post, but first let’s see how you can get the app yourself.

Where is the Vitable mobile app available?

Good news! The app is available on both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store meaning you can use it on both Apple and Android devices. You can also download it for use on tablets (such as an iPad) although beware that the app isn’t optimised for larger screens.

Setting Daily Reminders

Once you’ve downloaded the app, it’s going to ask you if you want to set a daily reminder to take your vitamins.

Vitable highly recommend taking your vitamins at the same time every day, with this consistency key to feeling the most positive effects of the vitamins. I talk a little bit about how effective vitamins are in my Vitable review, although I would suggest it at least can’t hurt to follow Vitable’s advise on consistency.

The app will then send you a push notification at the same time each day. This feature is especially perfect if you take your vitamins in the morning after breakfast.

Track your Sleep and Energy

It can be really hard to know whether your health regime is actually making a difference sometimes. We don’t often suddenly wake up one day feeling 100% invigorated with your whole life transformed. Instead, it’s often a gradual improvement over many months that means having more good days than bad ones.

That’s why it’s very useful to track your sleep and energy levels, meaning you can look back and see your improvement.

The Vitable app asks you a few questions whenever you want to track your progress, such as ‘Rate your energy levels out of 5’, ‘Do you often wake up in the morning feeling sluggish?’ and ‘How many hours of sleep do you get on average per night’ which allows them to calculate overall sleep and energy scores.

Earn Discounts on a Vitable subscription

Definitely the coolest feature on the entire app, you are able to earn points for every action you take. Earn enough points and this will unlock a discount on your Vitable subscription. If you were maintaining your subscription anyway, this is great motivation to build your daily habits.

You can earn points in quite a few different ways, including:

  • Taking your vitamins each day (200 pts)
  • Reaching record streaks of your daily habit (1000 pts)
  • Tracking your Sleep and Energy progress. (1000 pts first time)
Complete Tasks to Earn Points
Earn points. Points = Prizes!

Once you reach a total of 10000 points, you can redeem a $5 voucher on your next Vitable delivery. It’s hard to say no to free money. If you track your vitamin intake each day, that will earn you a massive 6000 points a month (or the equivalent of $3).

You’re not going to get rich by earning Vitable discounts, but this is a fantastic incentive for building your vitamin habit.

Explore Different Vitamins

If I’m being honest, I had no idea about the different kind of vitamins available before I tried Vitable. I’m still definitely no expert, although I can now tell the difference between Astaxathin and Ashwagandha.

If you’re looking to discover more, the Vitable app is a good place to start. Each vitamin has detailed information about the product, ingredients, allergens and how it works in the body. They even link out to research papers on the benefits of the vitamin.

Currently, they only have information for the vitamins they have in stock. I’d love if they had more information about alternative vitamins and get recommendations from Vitable even if they don’t sell the product directly themselves.

Manage your Vitable Subscription

Of course, this is an app where they’re trying to sell you a subscription to Vitable, or keep you as a customer! So, it’s no surprise that you can also manage your entire subscription through the app.

Just like their website experience, it’s super easy to add, remove and change your vitamins for each months delivery.

You can also pause or cancel your subscription through the app if you ever change your mind or want to take a break. I’m really glad they make it so straightforward to manage your subscription.
